About the Author
Hi! My name is Zanobia. At the time of writing this, I am 26 years old. I was raised in a small town in Kansas and got my love of animals from working on the small farm my family owned. We had some chickens, ducks, a grumpy goat, dogs, and cats. My love for cats blossomed from my beloved grandmother, who was always a sucker for a cute kitty.
I started this blog out of grief. My cat, Gooby, passed away suddenly in 2023. No cat loved me more than Gooby did. I would say he was my “soul cat” and had my whole heart. I would like to normalize grieving the pets that we have lost like we grieve any other being that we have loved and lost. Yes, I am a bleeding heart. My blog is meant to symbolize what his spirit would like me to do in situations where I am uncertain. Just thoughts and ramblings of someone who misses their pet like no other. That’s not to say that you can’t grieve others with me — I would love you all to know that this is a safe space to commiserate with me.
